Our residents have received the prestigious Robert F. Furchgott Scholar Award in 2016, 2019, and 2020. Dr. Robert Furchgott was the former Chair of Pharmacology at SUNY Downstate and was named a Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine in 1998.  The Robert F. Furchgott Scholar Award is the highest award for resident research at our institution.
